First Person Mode


Boy howdy, there's been some serious changes made.

First off, The Big One. Thats right there is now a fully fledged first person mode. In which, you can sprint, move in any direction, aim, shoot and do just about anything else you would want to do. Plus gone are the days where you need to hold a button down to enter it. Now, simply press the right shoulder button and you will switch between the two modes.

Second, there is now an ambient theme. It'll play when you're sneaking about. For now there's just the one but I want at least five. They will blend into each other dynamically, depending on the area and situation. I'm really happy with how it turned out, it only took an hour or two to create. If I can keep up that pace for the rest of the music, I'll be laughing.

Third, I added more animations that are specific to the Pistol. Namely, the switching weapon animation and the reload animation. I also properly implemented the animations of the gun itself. Making it so that when firing, the gun looks like it was fired rather than just the arms moving. When reloading a magazine is dropped from the gun and falls to the floor as well to better simulate the gun's real life behaviour.

The last changes are more quality of life. The controls for weapon switching are now more refined and better suited for how many weapons will be in the game later down the line. The toggle suppressor and toggle laser controls have also been changed. 

The next steps for me will be adding sound effects, adding visual elements(such as object textures and gun models/animations), writing and designing the opening level, making item pickups and adding a basic cover system. Once these items are complete I should have the opening for the game as a playable demo.

You have done a lot in a short period of time. Personally I am very happy about the first person option :)
